Our Royal Albion Working with a hand-press is a bit like climbing Everest without oxygen: you wonder if it's really necessary to go to such lengths. Although the basic principles are the same as, say, the Western proof press, everything is different: hand-inking with a pin roller, make-ready on the tympan, and taking the impression. But it's strangely delighting. |
