In 2001 subtitled 'On receiving a mysterious large parcel from The Old School Press'. A collection of sixteen tanka by James Kirkup, originally printed in 95 copies for the portfolio of material in issue 10 of Parenthesis, and a further 50 copies for friends of which just a few copies remain. A nice story behind it is printed on the cover. Hand-set 14pt Fournier and Molé Foliate printed on Mohawk Superfine in a wrapper of Zerkall. £40

Showings of five typefaces that Jan van Krimpen designed or had a hand in designing. 18pp, hand-set in various sizes of Open Kapitalen, Van Dijck, Cancelleresca Bastarda, Lutetia, and Romulus and printed on a Zerkall paper, long landscape, the sheets folded on the fore-edge and sewn with ribbon in three formats as below. Cold Comfort Library. An extract about working conditions at the Bodleian Library in Oxford from a book of 1888. 8pp, hand-set in 14pt Fournier and printed on an antique laid paper, probably French, part of the stock I rescued from St Hugh's Charterhouse monastery print-shop some years ago. Forty copies have Fabriano wrappers and sixty have Canson wrappers. £10

Acting Abroad, Lady Laura Troubridge. Tips on etiquette when abroad. Hand-set in 14pt Stephenson Blake Caslon Old Face and Thorne Shaded and printed on a Magnani laid, forty-five wrapped in a rose Hahnemuehle Bugra Buetten and forty-five in a mustard Glastonbury Antique Laid. £5.

On Durham. The last poem in Old English, translated and introduced by David Crane. Hand-set in six sizes of Stephenson Blake Caslon Old Face on a Zerkall paper, and sewn into a wrapper of a heavy, hammered Zerkall. £6. You can read a little more here.
